GCCS is proud to announce they are hosting the 1st Annual Dr. Lonnie Smith High School Jazz Festival featuring Gerry Youngman on Thursday February 15th at 6:00 pm

Participating in the event will be jazz bands from Global Concepts HS, Lackawanna HS and St. Francis HS along with the Jay/Sharptet Big Band.
This jazz festival will be in honor of the late great jazz legend Dr. Lonnie Smith who was born and raised in Lackawanna. It will feature the great jazz organist Gerry Youngman who was a student of Dr. Lonnie Smith.
Our wonderful GCCS culinary department led by Chef Van Wagner will also be providing refreshments that can be purchased at the event.
