How to Submit an Application

Once your account has been created, it will be accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can check the status of your application, and if your child is offered a spot at GCCS, you can complete some of the registration paperwork via SchoolMint. 

If you need help with the application, call our Administration Building at (716) 821-1903. We can help you complete the SchoolMint application in about 15-20 minutes.

The application is the only current requirement. If your child is offered enrollment later, you will be notified and given a list of required documents. Start gathering your paperwork now—see the list below.

PLEASE NOTE: 

• Kindergarten applicants must be 5 years old by December 1, 2025.
• The Lottery will create the official Wait List for each grade. As openings become available, students will be offered enrollment based on their position on this list.
  • Families will have seven school days to register via SchoolMint and provide all required documentation.
  • Required documentation:
    • Student Enrollment Form (from SchoolMint)
    • Child's Birth Certificate
    • Copy of parent/guardian photo ID
    • Proof of current physical exam
    • Proof of immunization record
    • Proof of dental exam
    • Completed Home Language and Residency Questionnaire (from SchoolMint)
    • If you are a Lackawanna School District resident, proof of residency is also a requirement.
    • Two proofs of address
      • Homeowners: provide your tax bill or mortgage statement.
      • Renters: include your lease agreement or a notarized landlord statement.
      • 2 Utility Bills 
• GCCS will register all students from Lackawanna and Buffalo. Parents must register all other students in their respective city of residence as soon as possible.
• Please check our website for updates on our February open house, where you can learn about GCCS and tour the school.
• Preferences will be given to applicants in the following order:
  • First - Siblings of students already enrolled at GCCS
  • Second - Students residing in the Lackawanna Public School District.
  • Third - Students who are children of GCCS employees
